i came across your recipe weeks ago when trying to figure out what to bake with almond butter and no eggs... finally tried this out today and it is great! at first (after sampling the bread just out of the oven) i worried that it would taste too much like baking soda, but it is actually great-- and very soft and moist. i'm not a sweet-tooth person so this was delicious with a bit of butter. next time i might throw some bran or flaxseed in there to vary the texture a bit.

thanks madhuram for a great almond butter recipe! you probably know how few there are out there :D

You're welcome Ju. Quick breads slice well and taste great usually after 12- 24 hours.

All these bread recipes are for Conv oven. I am very interested in recipes for bread machine. Would you be able to tell me how to modify these for bread machine? Also, can someone post really good vegan cinnamon raisin bread recipe for bread machine?
Thanks!

Hi Richa, I don't have a bread machine, so I don't have recipes for the same. See if you can find something in the following link:

Hi Madhuram,
I am new to your website but already baked this bread. :-) It was good but little dry. I used little less milk (whole)thinking 1.5 cup will be too much. I like to bake eggless too so will be trying lot of your recipes.

Thanks for trying the recipe Sonal.

Madhu,

Tried this recipe yesterday. I used a flatter pan and ended up with a drier bread for the 50 minutes of baking time. I also felt the sugar was less for the 2 cups of flour mentioned. Will try another time with a deeper pan or lesser baking time.

Laksh, I'm sorry you didn't get desirable result with the bread. If you change the pan size you have to change the baking time also accordingly. Wish you had checked the doneness using a tooth pick around 20 minutes. Also this bread is supposed to be eaten with jam, so it doesn't need more sugar. The original recipe used peanut butter, for a modified version of PB&J sandwich.

The bread looks yummy. I have to check out the supermarket for almond butter.... (even that sounds really tasty :) ) I really admire the way that you are able to "invent" new recipes!! In my books - you are a genius!!

PS: I remember I still owe you something

DK, as usual you are flattering me with your awesome comments. Love to hear them though!

Roma your bread looks awesome. I will also try your version. Thank you very much for trying it immediately.

Pritya, your welcome. If I can bake anybody can. I also started only 2 months back and slowly learning.

Ashaji, thank you very much. Yes the bread was sweet indeed.

Laksh, Dee try it definitely and let me know. As I keep mentioning again and again, don't top it with almonds. You will not be able to slice it properly.

Ranji, Divya congrats on your awards and thank you very much for passing it to me.
