Is there a difference between vanilla "essence" and vanilla "extract"? Love your site! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful recipes!!

You're welcome Samantha. As far as I know extract is pure, extracted from real vanilla pods (but there is imitation extract too) and essence is man made from synthetics, which is artificial flavoring. Both can be used interchangeably.

That is a really nice looking drink. I like the idea of using frozen mangoes, I hate the pureed mangoes you get in Indian stores.

Thanks everybody for your lovely comments. All the pictures in the blog are taken by my husband. I'll definitely pass the appreciation to him.

Hetal, I have sent you a mail. Check it out.

JZ welcome to my blog. Yes it was nice and creamy, I loved it.

Uma, neither my husband nor my son liked it. So I drank it all. No need to share!

Arundathi, tell me about it. I also was not sure how it would taste, but it was definitely worth trying.

Kaykat, yep I'm a sweet (yes pun intended. see my name itself is madhuram) addict. The frozen mangoes I got in Trader Joes, were not sweet and the raspberries are also tart, so little (lot of honey, actually for me) honey is necessary.
