2 ¼ cups water
1 ½ cups rolled oats
400g can chickpeas
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon white sugar
½ teaspoon salt Procedure:
You can do this in a food procesor but I find it works even better in a blender.
Using half the water, process the chickpeas to a chunky paste consistency. Add oil, sugar, salt and blend for a few seconds.
Add the rolled oats, adding the rest of the water as it becomes necessary. Pulse till you get a nice almost smooth batter.
Pour required amount into waffle iron and cook till golden brown. NOTE: Quite a lot of steam escapes in the cooking process, don't be alarmed, they work out great.Nutritional Information:
