You’re very welcome Priyanka.
I am only 13 years old and cooking and baking are my passion. My dad is allergic to eggs so I love this site! Anyways my moms birthday is coming up so i need to make her a cake! I was wondering if you could do something with homemade frosting and like ziploc bag decorating tips!!! If possible that would be great!!!
Thanks in advance!! Oh and I am making your plain vanilla cake recipe! 🙂
You are only 13 and already baking! Great job Meenakshi! You can use zip lock bags instead of pastry bags and paper cones but you still need to use decorating tips to get the beautiful designs. Otherwise you can buy tube of frosting which already has tips on it.
Hi, I have not tried any cakes from your website other than the banana walnut muffins. Am planning to try something next week as its my son’s 3rd birthday. Please let me know why cakes dont raise from the level that we fill. One more thing is Please tell me the difference between baking soda and baking powder.I have baking powder with me.How much do i need to use? This time am planning to make honey cake.Do you have any recipe related to that? At the same time would like to make something low fat..Thanks in advance.
Check this link to know the difference http://www.thekitchn.com/pantry-basics-whats-the-differ-40514. The amount of baking powder and baking soda to use will depend on the recipe. So if you have a honey cake recipe with eggs let me know, I will let you know the egg substitute and the amount of leavening agents to be used.
I’m sorry I dont have the recipe. Am looking for the recipe. Am from Bangalore, South India. In Blore we get this honey cake and its really yummy. We love that and I wanted to bake it at home. We don’t eat eggs so I wanted to search for the recipe in your website. Hope you can help me.
Hi Archana, I don’t know if this honey cake is available only in Bangalore because I have never tasted it and don’t even remember having seen it in the Bangolore Iyengar bakery shops in Chennai. I did Google for “Indian honey cake recipe” and it came with a lot of recipe links. I’m not sure which one to choose. So try the search engine and choose a recipe you would like to try and let me know. I will be able to help you from there.
i like your website. Egless cakes. I have some problem with my cake recipe. I found the proportions are exactly same. But some times my cake will not raise as it some times. Please suggest. Also, do i get the Wilton products in idia? If so please let me know where i can get them? Some times i don’t even get basic stuff for cake decoration.
Please do help me.
Thanks Soujanya. Are you talking about cake recipes in general or the recipes from here don’t turn out good for you? Please let me know and I’ll be able to help you better if I know that. Regarding Wilton products in India, I’m clueless. Google for “cake decorating supplies in India” and you should be able to find something.
